My theory is that COVID was cooked up by the CCP as a means of eradicating it’s geriatric population, which is becoming a huge problem for them. Then someone in the lab leaked a weak version of it intentionally to prevent the CCP from fully executing their villainous plan.

If it ends up actually being caused by a lab leak, this will most certainly be the explanation. This kind of lower-level coverup is very common in China from provincial governments.
