This is very common with monkeys especially in places with r-slurred tourists. I visited this one pilgrim city here known for the monkeys and people warned me about it beforehand but I step into one temple complex and immediately an old woman gets robbed of her specs by a monkey. Have to bribe them with food to get it back. I walked around without specs there, only used my mobile after I was sure there were no monkeys around. Saw them steal a phone, purses, more specs it was a proper organized racket. Then I go to this nearby city and see another pack of monkeys so I take off my specs. Then a local reassures me that their monkeys aren't thieves like that its only the other city's monkeys.

God bless monkeys they are such cute little shit stirrers. I love it when they play wity tourists. For that reason i always feed the shit out of them no matter what country. They must associate tourists with food so as to keep an uneasy peace. I would advocate anyone on vacation to feed these monkeys if you know whats good for the community and to avoid antagonizing them. Just carry around fruits and vegetables or sandwiches and give a little bit to every 4th or so monkey.

on them.

I think they should be experimented on. Not sure how but some sort of genetic experimentation. It would be cool to start with changing the coat pattern to be hairless or albino
