When I was 18 I tried my friends antidepressants for 2 weeks cause I thought they might be cool, it was so boring . Only medication I take daily is an allergy pill cause I love my dogs but was born defective

Idk if it counts but I had to take antibiotics when I got Lyme. It never really leaves your body so it's technically with me for life even if I don't have symptoms (the ultimate white woman disease ) so it's possible I'll have to take them again.

"mental illnesses" are pharma bullshit.

Unless your mental state seriously affects your life (eg you assault random people, can't take care of yourself) you don't have a mental health issue and shouldn't be put on prescription drugs.

The article says a lot of it is birth control but even taking that out big gender differences remain. Seems like the big ones are CNS agents (I'm not a medcel but I think those treat bpd type stuff) and antidepressants.

I don't know how the article controls for the fact that when moids get depressed they kill themselves and when foids get depressed they pretend to kill themselves.

Surely these hormones that regulate mood and bodily functions won't have any psychiatric effects
