One dozen defenders - trained by mandatory military service - killing two dozen snackbars? Yes, easily possible.
But it's obviously embellished. She did not place them in "strategic positions and setup ambushes". The whole point of having a "militia" is that you can do all the planning and prep before it happens, so everyone knows what to do when shit hits the fan.

I was surprised by how unarmed the Israelis living in border regions seemed to be. I wouldn't be comfortable living next to Allah's finest r-slurs without at least a rifle.
