Virginia's governor race was projected to be a easy win for the dems, especially with Biden winning the state last year with a 10 point margin. Then the debacle about them covering up the train school r*pe happened, plus some dumb gaffes by the dems like the false flag white supremacists photo-op probably caused them to lose. It was touted as a barometer for 2022's mid-terms and 2024's presidential elections, so maybe that's why it's dominating the news cycle.
