By the way, the most interesting part of this statement is the "We declare no competing interests." at the end, given that one of the listed authors, Peter Daszak, is the president of Eco Health Alliance nonprofit that used NIH money to fund coronavirus research in Wuhan Institute of Virology. Needless to say, nothing bad whatsoever happened to him or anyone else involved.

Not only was he funding Covid research in China, Peter Daszak's EcoHealth Alliance literally sent a formal proposal to DARPA and then the NIH for funding a gain of research project for corona viruses. Both of which were rejected by the US for being too dangerous.
But it's assumed that after the NIH declined the proposal they sent EcoHealth Alliance to poke China about it since it wasn't illegal there.

Another fun moment was when he was the only US representative in the WHO commission that went to the WIV and "investigated" stuff, then after he returned, in an interview he was asked if they managed to get access to the WIV coronavirus database that was taken offline immediately after the beginning of the epidemic "because what if hackers", and he was, like, no, why, we basically know what's there anyway, it's all good.

I remember hearing the "rise of asian hate movement" stuff on NPR and it ended up being like one case in California and everything else was just twittoids "feeling" oppressed without any concrete reasons why

Whats crazy is that while that was happening Taiwan Singapore, and Japan news were all pointing to a lab leak. The main reason that they wanted to throw people off the lab leak theory is that the COViD virus was likely the result of gain of function research, that was illegal in the US, butt that the NIH was funding to take place at the lab in Wuhan. The main purpose of denying the lab leak was to hide big pharma and the US government's reckless role in creating the pandemic. As per the video above, Moderna literally owns a patent on DNA strands found in the COVID 19 virus. Moderna admits this
