I think this guy is a bit too hard on the American investors. You just can't get anything done in a country like that without engaging in a little corruption. The Kosovars would be a lot better off getting a new power plant that cost 10% more than it should than not getting a new power plant.
Where we really went wrong is trying to make Kosovo an independent state. A tiny landlocked country can never be truly independent. It can't possibly defend itself, so American troops will be stuck there forever. And why include the Serbian populated areas along the border? If you're going to build a new state, maybe try not to have two ethnic groups that hate each other?
A century ago there would have been a much simpler and more logical solution. An international commission would go to Kosovo and draw a line through so most Serbs were in the north and most Albanians were in the south. Then it would be divided between Albania and Serbia. This way instead of having two small, weak, corrupt Albanian countries to protect we have one less small and weak Albanian country with one set of corrupt leaders to protect.
Independent Kosovo seemed like like a pretty stupid idea to me at the time and I still don't understand why it happened. The globalists who were so triumphant at the time abhorred the idea of nation states, blaming them for the world wars. Maybe in Kosovo they saw a chance to do an experiment and prove their theories. Lump together two warring ethnic groups and impose democracy and rule of law from the outside. If that was the idea, it didn't work here any better than Bosnia, Iraq, or Afghanistan.

Idk, the most rational thing is to give it to albania considering that's what most kosovobros want but I guess uncle sam likes having an insignificant puppet state? Probably lost in western bureaucratic heck

It would make the most sense. A lot of Albanians are hopeful about EU accession and think they can't have both, even if a majority in both countries now support unification. Look at our ugly butt flag, it's based on the EU flag. The security situation is making people slowly gravitate even more towards unification.
As a kosovar, I support unification primarily to toss that ugly butt Kosovo flag and have the shqiponja again. Also to make the serbs seethe harder.

Kosovo isn't even recognized as a country by all of it's neighbours, they literally can't do any type of trade or deal with these countries. And everyone else either hates them or don't care about them at all. Sure corruption and all that are a problem but currently they have no chance of fixing their shit even if they wanted to.

I think the globalists intervened because it's a pretty obvious failure to espouse their ideals and support a fledgeling European Union while there were ongoing ethnic cleansings in Europe that they failed to resolve diplomatically (not really their fault tbh). It was an easy humanitarian win that shows the benefits of globalism/NATO. Albanians love the US for how they helped them. Unfortunately, Kosovo doesn't have much to offer in return.
But maybe they were worried about the imminent muslim Albanian diaspora lmao.
Maybe they just really wanted the bases there for WW3.

I don't have any problem with the intervention, just what happened afterward. Creating a tiny hopeless independent state of Kosovo instead of just moving the Albania-Serbia border.

I don't know either, tbh. Sentiment for unification is higher than ever before, but it cannot be changed with Kosovo's constitution. It was a mandated article that we could not unify.

Look you r-slurs, when the posts here are basically the same thing every single day and the bot has like 3 different phrases, of course they are going to match up a lot. You idiots post links to anything that matches up with your gay butt drama buzzwords. I don't get how the circlejerk of regulars don't get bored of this place but I guess that is because of their incredibly low mental capacity. How many times can you say “dude bussy lmao” without wanted to blow your brains out?
