The entire point of that character is he was a former pulitzer prize winner who got a chip on his shoulder about spiderman. His bias is meant to be obvious and comedic but he should still articulate his points in a sympathetic way because all heroes need criticism of their actions. Modern spiderman media just make him a strawman of fox news meets limbaugh meets info wars whereas that goes against the idea of spiderman being less powerful than the people who oppose him
