To keep it as a private matter. My mom is a cancer survivor and I can tell you, informing your family you have cancer sucks, it's a shitty disease that weakens you and giving the bad news to your loved ones is already disheartening, I can't fathom having to tell the whole world because the media and twitter weirdos keep coming up with the wildest conspiracy theories.
Charles III talking about his cancer was just unprecedented as the Royal Family is very secretive about health issues, but he's the Head of State so it's more understandable.
