They were the first conference in the 20th century to change doctrine surrounding birth control and abortion, have allowed women priests since the 70s and were ordaining bishops living openly in gay relationships before even allowing them to get married.
At this point they're closer to UU/secular humanists than they are to !Christians but it's been a long time coming.

Whenever I think "darn, my church is screwed up". then the Episcopalians do something like this and I go "well at least Catholicism still has some standards left, few though they are". Thanks, Episcopalians!
Lady clergyperson at drag and trans and gay ceremony invites everyone, lay as well, to do their own pretend version of the Eucharist and can't even remember the words of the ritual because she hasn't been to a proper service since she was baptised as a baby, but the bishop is the guy in the wrong for fake-defrocking her. Uh-huh. That's certainly letting us all know what the real religion is there, and it's not Christianity!
