See if they keep doing good will gestures like these id be even willing to forgive the whole modern slavery thing and maybe even look past the fact that they are khale*jis. But a couple journos arrested once in a while just isn't enough, they'd need to get those numbers up in the high 4 digits. Obviously expecting gulf Arabs
to do anything that doesn't involve getting fatter or being violent towards their south east Asian slaves/"maids" is just setting yourself up for disappointment

Oman is nice. I guess the reason they are so lowkey is that they let it all out during their 400 years of absolute domination/colonization of eastern Africa & the brutal slavery trading that came with it etc. Violence probably gets boring after that!
Still journos are worse because unless you are a shit talking dissident GCC national that is dumb enough to willingly walk into your homecountry's embassy... you really aren't affected by whatever the oil fatties do (at least since 1973 lol). Journos on the other hand are a daily nuisance and are probably smugger than even your average middle eastern secret services executioner.

True, Oman is actually chill. I'm usually referring to Kuwait, Qatar, SA, the UAE, and Bahrain when I mention "the GCC".
