I'm not a huge fan of Sirhan Irhan or something, but he's done 56 years now. If it wasn't a Kennedy he would have been released long ago.

His original sentence was death in the gas chamber. He avoided it thanks to People v. Anderson https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/People_v._Anderson
A shame considering that Charles Mason avoided execution as well.
I do wonder though if releasing octogenarians from prison isn't more cruel than keeping them in

I think a death sentence is worth maybe 20 years in prison. We should reserve life for people who have done something worse than deserving death.
