It places the US even further ahead of the rest of the world which still hasn't even developed a basic reusable rocket.

It will lower the costs of space transportation and travel by a whole lot.

Starship will be used to send Astronauts to the moon.

Starship is in theory intended to send humans to Mars as well.

In theory, Starship should be capable of transporting people from point to point on the Earth itself. Imagine a transportation service that can take you to the other side of the Earth within an hour.

The primary benefit of starship is that now the US has a default working rocket that can be used for all major space missions with load carrying capacity to do things like set up bases in space and transportation across plants at acceptable costs for the modern age.

This rocket has pretty much re revolutionized the space race similar to what the falcon 9 rockets did before it.

The US now has a 16 year lead on China in rocket tech, possibly even further depending on if there will be any delays in China developing reusable rockets.
