The language law is dumb but the irony of the US considering sanctions over what amounts to a liberal identity politics policy is incredible. I'm only half kidding that this would never happen if Quebec wasn't white.
So I agree with the proposed sanctions but find the whole thing really ironic. Of course idpol is most prominent when capitalism benefits, so maybe this isn't that ironic.
