SWAT agents soon arrived. They set off explosives to open the garage entryway, detonated tear gas grenades inside the building, ran over Baker's fence with an armored vehicle, and ripped off her front door, despite being given a garage door opener, a code to the back gate, and a key to the home

You can't blame the SWAT boys for having some fun but which r-slur thought it would be a good idea to try and dismiss the lawsuit?

They are probably going to get away with it. It's happened many times before.

This is why I don't understand why people ever support cops beyond recognizing they are a necessary evil. Unless they do something absolutely r-slurred they will never face consequences for anything. Their unions are absolutely out of control. Also, government jannies are the worst of all jannies.

I don’t understand how people can support capitalism when some companies break laws and get away with it

How can you support right wing candidates when some of them are stupid nazis!!!

How can you support the military when they did Vietnam and Iraq!1!1!

How can you support doctors when they regularly do medical errors!1!1! And don’t get punished!1!1!1

How can you enjoy nature when lions and ticks exist 🀨🀨🀨🀨🀨🀨

Since the beginning of 2005 (through June 24, 2019), there have been 104 nonfederal sworn law enforcement officers with the general powers of arrest (e.g., police officers, deputy sheriffs, state troopers, etc.) who have been arrested for murder or manslaughter resulting from an on-duty shooting where the officer shot and killed someone at incidents throughout the United States. Of those 104 officers, to date only 35 have been convicted of a crime resulting from the on-duty shooting (15 by guilty plea, 20 by jury trial, and none convicted by a bench trial). In cases where an officer has been convicted, it is often for a lesser offense. Only 4 officers have been convicted of murder. The 4 officers convicted of murder received incarceration sentences that ranged from 81 months to 192 months in prison, with an average 150.75 months. The 18 officers convicted of manslaughter received incarceration from zero months to 480 months, average 78.5 months.

Because nature is enjoyable dispite getting the occasional tick or lion bite. I appreciate cops like a rectal exam. I don't at all enjoy it, but it is better than the alternative.

Most are incompetent power tripping man children who are only employed to control even more incompetent power tripping man children. There is nothing noble or admirable about it. The obsession they have with Punisher merch proves how pathetic they are. Frick off pig.

Mad? Without cops, a pack of wild BIPOCs would’ve eaten you alive a decade ago. The thin blue line between polite society and human wildlife savages. You’re just jealous you can’t be the manly protector of civilization. Pathetic tech skinnycel manlet mayo. You should be thanking them. With your honor and service. Also a hot and slow blowjob.

Most cops are fine! There’s corrupt ones like any other field. But mostly they do what they’re told. Whether that’s good is another issue but they’re not unlike anyone else in that way. If they’re so corrupt then why by and large to murders get solved and disputes resolved and economy keeps trucking?

Wrong, cops using excessive force is based because criminals need to be reminded that nothing can protect them from the long peepee of the law

Jump in the discussion.

It’s even more based when they do it to innocent citizens, just to remind them that compliance with the law can’t even save them from being bulldozed or having their baby flash-banged.

This is very dubious, especially considering jury trials.

The courts generally give cops the benefit of the doubt and they're viewed as more credible. This is why cops often show up to court in their uniforms.

Unions don't care about it.

This is not about a cop as a person paying anything, that is out of the question for reasons obvious to every non-wingcuck. Or should a DoE drone also pay out of pocket for the land they build power lines on?

It is the government as an entity that weasels out of paying. Unions don't give a frick if the government has to pay. Its the mayors, City councils, and parliaments that dont want to change the law to allow people to seek restitution.

If the government has to pay out every time the Punisher LARP does something without involving one of the few officers that has half a brain then the government might consider the more r-slurred of [Municipality]'s best too much of a liability. The unions absolutely want to minimize accountability for police through laws. It makes things much easier for them.

SWAT are just the most American version of police officers, you've got wannabe commandos using overwhelming force and military hardware to catch criminals, sometimes they are even there for a discernible reason. And they do it all with barely half the training of a private in the military, someone I wouldn't trust with his own fricking pants.
