I used to live in a neighborhood with lots of asians. One time I saw on reddit that there was a cult operating out a little place for sushi or pho or whatever in the local strip mall. Never knew how much excitement was going on there behind closed doors.

Do MLMs count?

Yesssss. Having had to sit through their "business development seminars" for work, I can tell you cults and pyramid schemes are just two variants of the same phenomenon. The pyramid scheme doesn't get you to live in a compound and isn't so controlling but they use all the same psychological manipulation tactics.

INC and Seventh Day Adventists (popular in Asia) got a shoutout in the thread too.

Surprisingly few smug :marseyamazingatheist: "Christianity" posts but one is amongst the top. Looked at the guy's profile and he's an adult lego collector. :marseylaugh:

There are atheists who I would refrain from mocking but the online variety really do bring it on themselves.

It's nice to see Quiboloy getting hunted down, but I guess it's too much to hope for the INC. They've probably got enough money to own half the US Congress.
