Context
Nobody takes the elections seriously since they fixed the one in 2009. I think this does have some significance in that if Khamenei lets a moderate win, that means he wants to negotiate and needs a nice guy to be president. If he makes it some extreme wacko again, that means they don't anticipate negotiating in the next few years.
