What could have been a fiery exchange of fiercely held viewpoints is more likely to incite yawns than outrage

According to this review the playwright couldn't even bring themselves to let a fictional Rowling espouse their views in any real way, so has essentially written fanfiction about the Harry Potter cast delivering a lecture to a silent older woman

This is the natural result of the thinking that supporting gender ideology is tantamount to simply "being a good person" - the implication is that people who disagree with you are simply very ignorant or very evil. And portraying JKR as either might not just come off as heavy-handed, but I wouldn't be surprised if a defamation lawsuit would become a concern.

We meander back in time to see examples of the author's troubled history with men and her substantial charitable donations (which surely cannot have been as begrudging as they seem here), but we see nothing to connect this generous liberal-minded novelist with her divisive social-media output.

Oh this play is actually really low. Do you think they displayed JKs abuse on stage with any sensitivity? Also I'm not at all surprised by making her charity donations 'begrudging' because an evil TERF can't do anything good and if they do, they really didn't want to / it was self serving.

The writer / creator of this really sounds like a prissy little theatre twink who really thought they were doing something but failed to realise that outside the echo chamber of your theatre troupe that people really aren't gonna agree with everything you say.

The really sad part is - at least it could have been proactive or really bad - instead it was just boring. And that's the worst thing, because there is no joy to be derived from a boring play.

Not at all inaccurate, actually

Ironically enough they also put this after the main article:

The closing line claims that the play has 'good intentions'. No it doesn't, it's intended to pillory JKR for being what they think of as objectively wrong.
