The black boxes were recovered. Main hypothesis for the cause of the crash is ice formation on the wings but it's still early to determine, the CENIPA has opened an investigation. No recorded emergency calls between the pilots and the control tower.

What is it with ATR-72s and the crew making really crazy mistakes? Like shutting down the wrong engine or pulling the power (condition) lever instead of the flaps
