But, on paper, it can come out cheaper because fat people die younger than everyone else, so there's no elder care, no pension, no social security. This doesn't take into account the web of horror that obesity wreaks in society.

It's a conundrum, other than that the Jewlummaniti want it to continue and it must be stopped.

You have to do a QALY adjustment for everyone else too. Having to witness fat people existing lowers overall quality of life. Imagine how pleasant life would be with thin people everywhere. No more fatties blocking your path, or showing up on dating apps. People used to be normal and human looking before and we can dream of a world like that again. :marseyagree:

In the Philippines most people commute on jeepneys with a fun mix of religious, :marseycringe: anime, and political spray paint. You'll see :marseyandjesus: and :marseyimmaculate: images directly next to :marseysailormarsey: or whatever. They're not very comfortable to ride on but they're cheap and pretty neat.

Eventually. But they're saying it costs $1000/month, so it's going to be quite a while before we reach that point. And these peoples' employers are the ones who have to pay for it now but won't get the benefits years later when they're in another job.
