You done fricked up if the Army feels the need to step in:

WASHINGTON, Aug 29 (Reuters) - The U.S. Army defended an Arlington National Cemetery employee who was pushed aside during a visit by former President Donald Trump, saying that she acted professionally and was being unfairly attacked.

The military rarely comments on political matters and while its statement on Thursday did not explicitly mention Trump or his 2024 presidential campaign, it made reference to a Monday ceremony.

On that day Trump, the Republican candidate in the Nov. 5 presidential election, visited the cemetery and took part in a wreath-laying ceremony honoring the 13 servicemembers killed during the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021.

He also visited Section 60 of the cemetery, where troops are buried and which is considered hallowed ground in the military.

Federal law and Pentagon policies do not allow political activities in that section of the cemetery, but videos were taken by Trump's campaign and used in advertisements.

"An ANC (Arlington National Cemetery) employee who attempted to ensure adherence to these rules was abruptly pushed aside," the Army statement said.

"This incident was unfortunate, and it is also unfortunate that the ANC employee and her professionalism has been unfairly attacked," it added.

Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung had said: "The fact is that a private photographer was permitted on the premises and for whatever reason an unnamed individual, clearly suffering from a mental health episode, decided to physically block members of President Trump's team during a very solemn ceremony."

Trump used the third anniversary on Monday of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan to try to pin the chaotic pullout on his Democratic rival for the White House, Kamala Harris.

It was the latest attempt by Trump and his campaign to raise doubts about Harris' fitness to serve as commander-in-chief as the election draws near and follows Harris having proclaimed herself last week ready to lead the nation's armed forces.

And let's take a trip to bizarro world and see what the boomers are saying at the Fox News comment section:

The Fox artcle is just 'According to Trump, Trump was permitted to be there, libtard' :soyjakanimeglasses:

Haters gotta Hate. Being invited or allowed to attend and even take part in the Ceremony by the Families of the Fallen was probably a Great Honor for Trump. I wouldn't doubt that he truly feels for these service members who Quite Possibly would still be alive if Trump has been Reelected to ensure the Secure, Safe and Honorable Withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Did you see the photo of Trump giving a thumbsup and smiling behind the gravestones? Did you read the statements from the families of the service members whose graves were being stood on in the photo? Go look at that photo and tell me again if he 'truly feels for these service members' as you say.

Muted you for having TDS.

:chudrage:

Funny how the staff claims that politicians are not permitted to have photos or film taken at the cemetery, yet we see it all the time. I, personally, think it was just one or two staff members who objected, simply because it was Trump. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

It was in Arlington, what do you expect. President Trump is hated in Arlington because the represent the institutionalized big government that he has been trying to get rid of. Arlington and DC are the swamp and we need President Trump to go in and clean house. Trump 2024.

>This cemetery is part of the swamp! :chudtantrum:

I haven't seen the Army destroy rightoid cute twinks like this since they called out Roy Cohn for trying to help his gay lover dodge the draft during the McCarthy hearings. Who coincidentally happens to be the guy who taught Trump everything he knows.

I didn't even pick up until now that it was a woman. Trump's people didn't want to talk about that little detail.
