Had to sit through a meeting a couple years ago where some manager I barely knew I had spent an excruciating hour telling us about her family vacation in Australia and showing pictures. They spent a bunch of time on some native aboriginal tours/towns whatever and she said all this wild we was kangz shit they told her about how industrious they were before colonization and had actually sailed all the way to the Americas and Japan and lol, basically fricking everywhere, and mentioned some shit about how they don't have ANY representation in parliament (early or pre-Voice talk). I did not chud out, but I really wanted to know how much they charged her.

Ah this is the result of Bruce Pasco, basically an Aussie Dolezeal. He wrote a book, Dark Emu, which basically claims how advanced Aboriginals were with like farming and technology despite 0 evidence.

He claims the be Aboriginal despite verifiable full-blooded English Grandparent ancestry. So many Aboriginal tribes rejected his attempts to claim any sort of kinship that the closest he got was some sort of Tasmania tribe who kind of shrugged and was like 'could be I guess'?

His book is so widely decried and proven false that the decision has been made to remove it from history curriculums in Victoria (Australian Oregan).

Did actual aboriginals pick it up even if Pasco is rejected from tribes?
