Attempted assassination of Evo Morales, former president of Bolivia (video in post)

I wish people could learn that "shot 14 times" and "shot at 14 times" are two completely different things. Sometimes I worry I'm the only person left on the planet who can actually speak English correctly.

So he was out on the highway and guys in another car shot at him? That happens a lot in the movies, but I've only heard of it once in real life. Probably because If you know the guy's routine so well and have such good surveillance that you can find him on the road, you could just leave a bomb in a car and park it on his route. There's way less chance of getting caught.

Also the guy is a lying commie bastard. So I'd say it's at least 50-50 that it's a hoax.

(About the wikipedia article I linked: It was during the wave of assassinations done by Syria so everyone (including me) assumed it was them. But everyone wondered why they used guns instead of a bomb this time. It turns out that it was actually the Sunni terrorist group Fatah al-Islam, probably hoping that Syria would be blamed. For some reason the people so quick to rush to wikipedia with speculation about who did it didn't bother to update the page when we found out who it actually was. It seems they weren't interested in finding out it was Sunnis.)
