I cannot emphasize enough that the only way, and the only moral way, of dealing this with this to do both. Raid these places. Deport the illegals. Don't treat them like animals. If some poor bastard went 2000 miles to pick strawberries for $8/hr to send money back to his family, I want him out of the country but I don't really have much of a beef with him. Grab the bosses. There's two kinds of people who are really responsible for this problem: The employers and the coyotes. The employers should go to prison, the coyotes should be hung.
If employers of illegals actually get real prison time next year, that's when I would take Trump seriously. If he doesn't, it confirms that he doesn't want to actually solve the problem.
I mean ffs everyone understood how this works in 1949.
