This is false. The effectiveness of fluoride in drinking water is still scientifically debataed. Fluoride dental treatments do help young people. The brits also don't take care of their dental health.

You know how, in the past there was an American stereotype that was the British had bad teeth. Part of it was about cosmetic surgery but part of it was also because the Americans started fluoridating their water a whole generation before the British.

Maybe these things are true but it's missing a major part of the story:
