Nah. This is a principle the US stands on. The US does not acknowledge the jurisdiction of the ICC here. Basically we don't want a precedent for the ICC to stand on to do the same to the US.

No. The highest court in our country is the supreme court. The way the icc is structured would require our supreme court to accept the rulings of another court. It's basically against our constitution.
Israel is also not a party to the icc and the PA are not legally entitled to join it without approval from the kessnet. So the US 's position is entirely consistent.
