I'm a teacher. Every day I catch students using ChaptGPT to write simple essays. One thing I tell them (and their parents in denial) is that even if I didn't know it wasn't GPT, and just graded it as an honest attempt, it's garbage. It's like a keyword salad or just a synopsis of the topic where I've asked very specific questions.

I wish ChatGPT was a thing when I was a student.

Because I'm not r-slurred and would have used it for the things it's good at: generating a structured essay plan, proofreading, summarizing source texts; basically using it as an assistant instead of a replacement.

You could even take it further and do stuff like feed it your professor's writing and then get it to adapt your essay to emulate their writing style (something I always did myself in university), that shit really gets them hard.
