But also half the Dem base wants these tariffs. They don't like it because Grumph. Historically the base has opposed NAFTA and the TPP was a big thing that the left railed against Hillary on in 2016. Biden kept Trump's tariffs in place, so I guess they voted for the guy that was more culturally aligned with.
