The only time I ever hear about the ATF is either they "accidentally" sold guns to cartels, shot someone's dog or arrested a glowie gunsmith that other glowies were using on the downlow.

There was that one time they purposefully sold guns to cartels, so they could keep track of them, then lost track of them almost immediately. The sort of thing that gets shrugged off by whoever is in charge but makes normal people wonder why everyone wasn't fired for it.
