Did you even read the article? She barely complains about her mom and honestly the article is kind of insane lol. She rips hot chocolate out of her 7-year-old's hands because she doesn't know if it's 100 or 200 calories.

EDIT: Well, just saw that she was apparently in the 99th percentile of obesity for her age, so that makes a bit more sense. Still, at least she forgave her mom.

How come her mother actually looks more decent than her lol

grew two inches and lost 16 pounds. I was no longer clinically obese or at risk of developing high blood pressure, high cholesterol and Type 2 diabetes. But my mom was vilified by the media for fat-shaming a child. She was labeled the "worst mother in NYC” by one newspaper columnist.

A decade later, I can tell you that she is not.
