Israel provides Ukraine with intelligence on Iranian kamikaze drones, - NYT Джерело: https://censor.net/ua/n3373465

Israel provides Ukraine with data on Iranian drones used by the Russian army.

This is reported by the New York Times with reference to a source, Censor.NET reports .

It is noted that Ukraine asked Israel to supply air defense systems. However, Israel has so far announced that it will give them so as not to provoke the Russian Federation into interfering with Israeli airstrikes in Syria.

"A high-ranking Ukrainian official said on condition of anonymity that Israel provides Ukraine with basic intelligence on Iranian drones, which Russia has begun to use on the battlefield," the newspaper writes.

Also, a private Israeli company supplies Ukraine with satellite images of the positions of Russian troops.

This is an opinion piece by someone who supposedly “outs” people who falsely claim Native standing. She’s also said that our current Secretary of Interior (Deb Harland) isn’t native…yet she is. So her credibility is pretty low. “Ms. Haaland, 60, was born in Winslow, Ariz., to Mary Toya, a Laguna woman, and John David Haaland, a Minnesotan of Norwegian descent. Both parents served in the Navy…her ancestral home is in the Laguna Pueblo village of Mesita, population 800, and for 25 years, her mother worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs.”

Sacheen Littlefeather, Native American And Oscars Icon, Was ‘Ethnic Fraud’ – Report – Deadline

Her sisters said in the article that Littlefeather, who died earlier this month shortly after receiving an official apology from the Academy, was not of Apache heritage, but rather half-Mexican. Littlefeather’s sisters, Orlandi and Rosalind Cruz, approached Native American journ*list and activist Jacqueline Keeler to tell their story. The Chronicle article said Littlefeather was born Marie Louise Cruz to a mother who had white heritage and Mexican on her father’s side. " The sisters claim that their goal in coming forward is to restore their father's good name, saying he "never drank” and was not mentally ill, refuting her sister’s claims.

Littlefeather wore traditional clothing at the 1973 Oscars ceremony, making a statement about Hollywood's treatment of Native Americans. "The Academy’s recent apology to Littlefeather said that " he emotional burden you have lived through and the cost to your own career in our industry are irreparable. "In today's Chronicle story, the Littlefeather sisters said it was troubling to see her "venerated as a saint.

EXCLUSIVE Korean auto giant Hyundai investigating child labor in its U.S. supply chain | Reuters

A Reuters investigative report in July documented children, including a 12-year-old, working at a Hyundai-controlled metal stamping plant in rural Luverne, Alabama, called SMART Alabama, LLC. In an interview before a Reuters event in Detroit on Wednesday, Munoz said Hyundai intends to «sever relations» with the two Alabama supplier plants under scrutiny for deploying underage labor «as soon as possible». auto parts suppliers for potential labor law violations and «to ensure compliance». assembly plant in Montgomery produced nearly half of the 738,000 vehicles the automaker sold in the United States last year, according to company figures.

The executive also pledged that Hyundai would push to stop relying on third party labor suppliers at its southern U.S. As Reuters reported, migrant children from Guatemala found working at SMART Alabama, LLC and SL Alabama had been hired by recruiting or staffing firms in the region. In a statement to Reuters this week, Hyundai said it had already stopped relying on at least one labor recruiting firm that had been hiring for SMART. supply chain would take, when Hyundai or any partner plants could end their dependence on third party staffing firms for labor, or when Hyundai could end commercial relationships with two existing Alabama suppliers investigated for child labor violations by U.S.

In a statement on Wednesday, SL Alabama said it had taken «aggressive steps to remedy the situation» as soon it learned a subcontractor had provided underage workers. It terminated its relationship with the staffing firm, took more direct control of the hiring process and hired a law firm to conduct an audit of its employment practices, it said. SMART Alabama did not immediately respond to a request for comment. parts suppliers, and warning of potential reputational damage to the Korean automaker.

The letter said that the use of child labor violated international standards Hyundai committed to in its Human Rights Charter and its own code of conduct for suppliers.

Armed and masked 'ballot watchers' sat by a ballot drop box in Arizona, prompting police investigation

Arizona police were called to investigate armed and masked individuals parked near a ballot drop box Friday night, according to local reports.

On Friday night, deputies were "looking into several individuals watching a voter drop box in Mesa," ABC 15 Arizona reporter Nicole Grigg tweeted, adding that the individuals were "dressed in tactical gear, fully disguised" and armed.

A video shared by Grigg showed two individuals sitting in a parking lot, one perched on the tailgate of a truck while the other sat in a camp chair nearby. The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office confirmed that two individuals were armed, Grigg tweeted.

According to ABC 15's Jordan Bontke, deputies "responded" but the individuals had left the area.

"The men in tactical gear had already left but deputies measured to make sure ballot watchers weren't too close," Bontke tweeted.

A spokesperson for MCSO told Insider that deputies were dispatched to the voter ballot box at the Maricopa County Juvenile Court at about 7:45 pm on Friday night.

"Deputies responded and were able to determine that the individuals were not breaking any laws and were more than 75 feet away from the ballot box as required by law. MCSO will continue to work with our local, state and federal partners to ensure a safe and just election process for everyone," Sgt. Calbert Gillett said in an email to Insider.

The report comes days after an incident of voter harassment was reported in Mesa in which a voter said several people were "hanging out near the ballot dropbox filming and photographing my wife and I as we approached the dropbox and accusing us of being a mule," according to The Washington Post.

The voter – who said the group took pictures "of our license plate and of us and then followed us out the parking lot in one of their cars continuing to film" – reported the incident to the Arizona secretary of state's office, who referred it to the state attorney general and the US Department of Justice, per the Post.

In a statement to 12 News KPNX, a spokesperson for the Arizona attorney general's office confirmed they were reviewing the report.

"Everyone should feel safe exercising their voting rights. If someone feels threatened, please contact local law enforcement right away," the spokesperson told 12 News.

Of course. Gen Z is more observant than other generations. People who are blind to the decline are consuming propaganda 24x7, or otherwise willfully ignorant. Once the plutocrats completely captured both political parties, our government stopped listening at all to the public. This was made official with the passage of Citizens United (2010), but had been in progress a long time before then.

This implies some dramatards are easily swayed by American propaganda :marseysaluteusa:?

Gen Z thinks America is broken

Gen Z is the future and so older generations are studying their every movement as if they were goldfish swimming in a bowl. However, our future isn’t feeling very optimistic about the future.

The Walton Family Foundation, the charitable arm of the Walmart heirs, has been conducting extensive research and leading civic engagement with this younger demographic of Americans, including thousands of surveys and in-depth interviews with 31 members of Gen Z to supplement the data with personal stories and quotes. Overall, Gen Z feels pretty bleak about America’s future, according to the findings. Here are some of the top insights:

  • Gen Z is pessimistic about America’s future: 46% believe America is in decline, and 60% believe America is a divided country. Only 40% feel hopeful about the future of the country.

  • Gen Z doesn’t feel like major institutions are listening to them: Only 34% feel like their favorite brands are in touch with them, only 24% feel like global companies understand them, and only 20% feel like government understands them.

  • Gen Z doesn’t think their vote will have an impact: Only about 20% believe elected officials will create positive change, and 56% believe Americans are unable to have a constructive debate on issues they disagree on.

“This country is the worst in collaboration,” said Khanh, a 19-year-old from Texas, who participated in the study. “While all countries have their ups and downs, [the] American government loves to tear any issues apart into two different extreme sides, there is never compromise.”

BREAKING: Biden is considering blocking Musk’s Twitter deal (due to close 10/28), worried by his threat to stop supplying Starlink to Ukraine and his Russia-friendly “peace proposals.” The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) CAN nix the deal! 🧵

This deal is a clear and present danger to the security of the United States. Should we give Putin a propaganda outlet? Should we let Trump organize another insurrection on Twitter?

Fiona Hill has said Musk is “transmitting a message for Putin.”

Should we let him??

The administration is also rightly concerned by the rogues gallery of foreign investors, including Saudi Arabia.

Ya think?

Let the administration know you want this deal stopped @POTUS @WHCOS

Classified papers seized from Trump home held U.S. secrets about Iran, China -Washington Post

Highly sensitive intelligence on Iran and China was in some of the documents recovered by the FBI during an August search of former U.S. President Donald Trump’s home in Florida, The Washington Post reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

They included secret documents that described intelligence work regarding China and at least one of them described Iran’s missile program, the report said, adding that the documents were considered to be among the most sensitive in the materials seized by the FBI.

The release of information in these documents would pose multiple risks, including endangering people helping U.S. intelligence efforts and compromising collection efforts, the newspaper cited experts as saying.

The U.S. Justice Department is investigating whether Trump broke the law by taking government records, including about 100 classified documents, to his Florida estate after leaving office in January 2021.

  • atakeonhooper : daily rdrama jan 6 struggle session [WARNING: SCAT]

The astonishing endgame of the 2020 presidential election happened less than two years ago. After news outlets from the AP to Fox News, plus 50 state governments, certified Joe Biden's victory, Donald Trump made an unprecedented attempt to overturn the results and stay in power. This culminated in a day of violence when Trump's supporters broke into the U.S. Capitol in an effort to stop the final confirmation of the election by Congress. In case anyone managed to forget these shocking events, the House select committee on January 6 has held an impressively produced series of made-for-TV hearings in recent months detailing the postelection coup attempt.

So what has been the ultimate effect of all this high-visibility evidence of a rogue president gone insurrectionist? Well, the number of Republicans who agree with Trump's "stolen election" fable has almost certainly gone up rather than down. The 45th president remains the leader of his party by any reasonable definition and is unquestionably the front-runner for the GOP's 2024 presidential nomination if, as expected, he chooses to run. He actually leads Biden in averages of 2024 trial heats.

And the best efforts of the House select committee have failed to make the events of January 6 a significant campaign issue in the 2022 midterms. You can, if you wish, blame some of that on Democratic campaign wizards, as Politico recently noted:

Overall, less than 2 percent of all broadcast TV spending in House races has gone toward Jan. 6 ads, according to ad-tracking firm AdImpact --- or just $2.7 million of $163 million. Taken in total, Democrats have aired just two dozen spots focused on threats to democracy this cycle, in roughly 16 different battleground districts.

But some unusually deep polling by the New York Times and Siena College about whether voters care about "threats to democracy," and how they understand that term, might justify Democrats' focus on other issues.

That recent survey asked an open-ended question about the "most important issue facing the country today." Just 7 percent cited "the state of democracy." That's nothing compared with the 26 percent who offered "the economy" or the 19 percent who volunteered "inflation or the cost of living." But concerns about democracy did top "abortion," which was cited by 4 percent, and "crime," which was called a top issue by 3 percent. Moreover, the pollsters later asked whether American democracy is "currently under threat," and 71 percent said yes. That's a big deal, right?

Maybe not. It's when the pollsters dig into what people mean by "threats to democracy" that any focus on January 6 gets lost. Far and away the most popular complaint was about politicians and government generally being "corrupt." Nate Cohn tried to explain the responses:

When respondents were asked to volunteer one or two words to summarize the current threat to democracy, government corruption was brought up most often --- more than Mr. Trump and Republicans combined.

... One said, "I don't think they are honestly thinking about the people." Another said politicians "forget about normal people." Corruption, greed, power and money were familiar themes.

This sure sounds a lot closer to MAGA folk calling Washington a "swamp" than it does to members of Congress expressing shock at the desecration of "the temple of democracy" on January 6.

Similarly, voters perceiving a "threat to democracy" are nearly as likely to view Biden as a "major threat" (38 percent) as Trump (45 percent). Forty-nine percent call "electronic voting machines" a major or minor threat (as opposed to no threat at all), and 54 percent feel the same way about voting by mail. The claim with the strongest bipartisan support is that "mainstream media" are a threat to democracy: 84 percent of respondents, including 83 percent of self-identified independents, consider the media a major or minor threat to democracy.

The bottom line is that democracy itself is broadly perceived as so broken that Trump's deliberate effort to break it by an act of insurrection is being accepted by an alarming percentage of the population as just another warning light. They see it as no more significant than ineffective anti-inflation policies rather than as a unique threat to our system of self-government that must be condemned, punished, and prevented from ever happening again. If Trump's Republican Party makes the gains so many expect in November, it will be a green light for authoritarianism in the future, even if Trump himself exits the political scene and gives way to another demagogue.

People can now choose their s*x marker in their Social Security records, the Social Security Administration announced Wednesday. It's the latest step in the Biden administration's effort to be more inclusive of transgender Americans.

While people will still need to show documentation to prove their identity, they will no longer need to provide medical or legal records of their s*x designation, the agency said.

"The Social Security Administration's Equity Action Plan includes a commitment to decrease administrative burdens and ensure people who identify as gender diverse or transgender have options in the Social Security number card application process," said Acting Commissioner Kilolo Kijakazi.

The move is part of the Biden administration's push to make it easier for transgender people to access government services and to increase their visibility in data. Changing their designation in Social Security records will improve their experience accessing retirement benefits, obtaining health care and applying for jobs, according to a White House fact sheet issued in March.

As part of the effort, the Department of State began allowing US citizens to select an "X" as their gender marker on their passport applications in April. The Department of Homeland Security implemented an option for "another gender" for the TSA PreCheck application process in July.

Accepting self-identified s*x designation

The Social Security Administration will accept people's self-identified s*x designation of either male or female even if it differs from the s*x listed on other identity documents, such as passports or state-issued driver's licenses.

Those who update their s*x in Social Security's records will have to apply for a replacement card. Social Security cards do not include s*x designation.

The agency is exploring updating its policy and systems to allow an "X" designation, but people cannot currently include a nonbinary or unspecified s*x marker.

Steve Bannon was sentenced to four months in prison Friday for his defiance of a subpoena from the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

The one-time White House strategist was subpoenaed by the panel in September of last year after he failed to provide either the required documents or testimony as he railed against the committee.

Bannon claimed that he was unable to comply with the committee’s subpoena due to executive privilege. However, the panel sought to speak to Bannon about events that occurred well after his short stint in the White House.

Federal district court Judge Carl Nichols ruled that Bannon would also pay a fine of $6,500 alongside his four month sentence, allowing Bannon to serve jailtime for each contempt of Congress charge concurrently.

At the outset of the hearing Nichols said Bannon had shown “no remorse for his actions” and “has yet to demonstrate he has any intention of complying with the subpoena.”

But the judge also agreed to stay his ruling while Bannon appeals his guilty verdict.

A Justice Department prosecutor argued that Bannon deserved a severe penalty for his wholesale resistance to the committee’s subpoena, noting that “he never lifted a finger to find a responsive document” or appear in person to assert any potential privileges.

“The importance of this case has everything to do with defendant’s obligations as a citizen of the United States,” assistant U.S. attorney Joseph Cooney told the court.

“No one, regardless of their means, their station, the influence of their friends or their patrons, is above the law.”

Bannon’s attorneys – David Schoen, one of President Trump’s impeachment attorneys, and Evan Corcoran, who is currently representing the former president in the Mar-a-Lago case – argued Bannon had little choice but inaction when faced with the committee subpoena.

His hands were tied by Trump’s claim of executive privilege, they argued, with Schoen saying it was the “only lawful course he could take consistent with the Constitution and his obligation.”

A jury largely rejected that argument when it found Bannon guilty on both counts of contempt of Congress.
