You done fricked up if the Army feels the need to step in:

WASHINGTON, Aug 29 (Reuters) - The U.S. Army defended an Arlington National Cemetery employee who was pushed aside during a visit by former President Donald Trump, saying that she acted professionally and was being unfairly attacked.

The military rarely comments on political matters and while its statement on Thursday did not explicitly mention Trump or his 2024 presidential campaign, it made reference to a Monday ceremony.

On that day Trump, the Republican candidate in the Nov. 5 presidential election, visited the cemetery and took part in a wreath-laying ceremony honoring the 13 servicemembers killed during the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021.

He also visited Section 60 of the cemetery, where troops are buried and which is considered hallowed ground in the military.

Federal law and Pentagon policies do not allow political activities in that section of the cemetery, but videos were taken by Trump's campaign and used in advertisements.

"An ANC (Arlington National Cemetery) employee who attempted to ensure adherence to these rules was abruptly pushed aside," the Army statement said.

"This incident was unfortunate, and it is also unfortunate that the ANC employee and her professionalism has been unfairly attacked," it added.

Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung had said: "The fact is that a private photographer was permitted on the premises and for whatever reason an unnamed individual, clearly suffering from a mental health episode, decided to physically block members of President Trump's team during a very solemn ceremony."

Trump used the third anniversary on Monday of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan to try to pin the chaotic pullout on his Democratic rival for the White House, Kamala Harris.

It was the latest attempt by Trump and his campaign to raise doubts about Harris' fitness to serve as commander-in-chief as the election draws near and follows Harris having proclaimed herself last week ready to lead the nation's armed forces.

And let's take a trip to bizarro world and see what the boomers are saying at the Fox News comment section:

The Fox artcle is just 'According to Trump, Trump was permitted to be there, libtard' :soyjakanimeglasses:

Haters gotta Hate. Being invited or allowed to attend and even take part in the Ceremony by the Families of the Fallen was probably a Great Honor for Trump. I wouldn't doubt that he truly feels for these service members who Quite Possibly would still be alive if Trump has been Reelected to ensure the Secure, Safe and Honorable Withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Did you see the photo of Trump giving a thumbsup and smiling behind the gravestones? Did you read the statements from the families of the service members whose graves were being stood on in the photo? Go look at that photo and tell me again if he 'truly feels for these service members' as you say.

Muted you for having TDS.

:chudrage:

Funny how the staff claims that politicians are not permitted to have photos or film taken at the cemetery, yet we see it all the time. I, personally, think it was just one or two staff members who objected, simply because it was Trump. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

It was in Arlington, what do you expect. President Trump is hated in Arlington because the represent the institutionalized big government that he has been trying to get rid of. Arlington and DC are the swamp and we need President Trump to go in and clean house. Trump 2024.

>This cemetery is part of the swamp! :chudtantrum:

EXCLUSIVE: Vincent Rubino, executive producer/showrunner of the upcoming Hollywood Squares revival on CBS, has been let go from the show for allegedly making a racially insensitive comment to BIPOC members of the production staff.

According to a source close to the matter, the veteran game show producer is accused of raising his arms and saying "don't rob me" to three persons of color — believed to be Black and Latinx/Latinx — who work as production assistants. Another person allegedly overheard the comment and reported it to HR.

Swift action was taken by Jesse Collins Entertainment, which is producing the new Hollywood Squares for CBS with Drew Barrymore's Flower Films, and Rubino was removed from the show, sources said. Rubino declined to comment. A spokeswoman for the studio also declined to comment.

Rubino is an experienced producer in the game show space with credits such as The $100,000 Pyramid, Supermarket Sweep, Brain Games, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and 2010's The Newlywed Game.

CBS announced in May that it was bringing back Hollywood Squares for a 2025 midseason debut. Barrymore will occupy the center square. Hollywood Squares involves two contestants who play tic-tac-toe to win money and prizes. The "board" for the game is a vertical stack of open-faced cubes, each occupied by a celebrity seated at a desk and facing the contestants. The celebrities are asked questions and the contestants judge the legitimacy of their answers to win the game.

The original Squares aired on NBC in the 1960s. The series piloted in 1965 and debuted in its entirety on the same network in 1966.

The state of Oregon's failed experiment to decriminalize hard drugs comes to an official end on Sunday, and data from the state's judicial department reveals just how disastrous and ineffective Measure 110 was. Only 85 people issued citations sought addiction assessment during the three years of decriminalization, and thousands died from overdoses, data shows.

Oregon became the first state in the nation to decriminalize possession of illicit drugs - such as heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, and LSD - when voters approved Ballot Measure 110 in Nov. 2020. The law took effect on Feb. 1, 2021, turning possession of hard drugs from a criminal misdemeanor into a Class E misdemeanor, which warrants a citation of up to $100. The punishment could be compared to receiving a traffic ticket.

Measure 110 citations had granted those in possession of illegal drugs two options: pay a $100 fine through the court system or call a substance abuse helpline in exchange for their citation being waived. Progressive lawmakers intended to use cannabis tax income to fund the state's treatment system to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars, but data shows hardly anyone paid the fine or called the helpline.

In March, state lawmakers voted to recriminalize drug possession after their effort at decriminalization resulted in heavy open-air drug use and a significant surge in overdose deaths. Oregon legislators hailed the measure as an approach to addiction, but in return, decriminalization was a hard lesson learned.

The Oregon Judicial Department released circuit court data from Feb. 2021 to Aug. 2024, which was published by the Oregonian. It revealed that out of the $899,413 fines issued under the measure across all circuit courts, the state only collected $78,143.

Officers cited 7,227 people under Measure 110 statewide, and 89 percent of them were convicted. However, nearly all convictions were because people skipped their court dates. Out of the 7,227 people cited, only 85 of them completed their substance abuse screening through the helpline, which was needed in order to have the citation dropped.

The report revealed that 54 percent of citations were for methamphetamine, 31 percent were for fentanyl and other Schedule II drugs, 7 percent were for heroin, 3 percent were for oxycodone, and 1 percent were for cocaine, per the data.

In Multnomah County, which encompasses the state's largest city impacted by drug abuse, Portland, police issued 1,917 Measure 110 citations. The conviction rate was 93 percent because of failure to appear in court. Only 16 people in the county called the helpline to complete the substance abuse screening.

The most citations (2,036) were issued by the Medford Police Department, of which 1,236 were linked to methamphetamine. Oregon State Police issued 1,756 citations, the Grants Pass Police Department issued 1,642 citations, and the Portland Police Bureau issued 1,332 citations. Other law enforcement agencies across the state issued either a dozen or just one, according to the Judicial Department.

Between 2021, when the bill took effect, and 2023, the most current year for statistics, 3,086 people died from opioid overdoses. The Oregon Health Authority noted that "The number of opioid overdose visits to [emergency departments] and [urgent care centers] in 2024 are similar to 2023."

The Supreme Federal Tribunal decided to cater to Musk's childish play and give him what he wanted. X will get suspended (as if Musk gave a frick about that, he's trying to get it suspended to make a point), meanwhile the Municipal elections are in October, so this decision will further erode the little trust the general public has in the judiciary even more while wingcucks will suck Moraes peepee as if he were some fatherland savior. The STF also froze Starlink's assets in Brazil to pay for X fines.

Either way this is a good thing, now how will Brazilian leftoids do their campaign without their favorite social media?

Only 100 spaces left in male prisons amid ongoing crisis :marseybritbongitsover:

!nooticers :marseyhmm:

There are only 100 spaces left in male prisons across England and Wales, Sky News understands.

The figure, first reported by the Telegraph, is the closest the system has come to running out of places amid an ongoing crisis in the sector.

Government sources said they had always expected a squeeze on spaces over the bank holiday weekend due to the number of large-scale events, such as festivals and football matches.

While courts can sit on a Bank Holiday Monday, prisoners are unable to be released until Tuesday, seeing numbers further stack up.

However, the stark figure shines a spotlight on the issue being faced by the new government in tackling the lack of spaces.

Labour has repeatedly accused the Conservatives of neglecting the justice system during their time in office, saying prisons were at risk of overflowing.

Earlier in the summer, after becoming prime minister, Sir Keir Starmer green lit plans for some prisoners to be let out after serving 40% of their sentence - rather than the usual 50% - which will come into force on 10 September.

In the wake of the Southport protests, the Ministry of Justice also activated Operation Early Dawn, allowing defendants waiting for a court appearance to be held in police cells for longer until space is available.

But the weekend's events, including Notting Hill Carnival, have pushed capacity even closer to the maximum.

Speaking on Tuesday, Sir Keir said: "I can't tell you how shocked I was when I discovered the full extent of what [the Conservatives have] done with our prisons, and it's going to take time to fix it.

"I can't build a prison by Saturday. We will fix it, we've already taken the measures that are necessary to make sure we can get through the disorder."

Referring to the summer riots, he added: "I shouldn't be sitting in the COBRA room with a list of prison places across the country on a day-by-day basis, trying to work out how we deal with disorder.

"But that's the position I was put in and it's frankly not good enough."

Since the beginning of 2023, male prisons in England and Wales have had an occupancy rate of more than 99% the majority of the time, Ministry of Justice figures show.

The previous Conservative government started an early release prisoner scheme last October due to issues with overcrowding, which allowed certain offenders to be freed up to 70 days before the end of their sentence.

A Ministry of Justice spokesperson said: "The new government inherited a justice system in crisis and has been forced into taking difficult but necessary action to ensure we can keep locking up dangerous criminals and protect the public.

"Staff across the whole criminal justice system are working incredibly hard and the government will continue to support them before the changes come into effect on 10 September."
