!nooticers to give a !macacos context, this granny known as "Fátima Tubarão" (Fátima Shark) was inside Congress during the January 8th 2023 Brazilian attempt to imitate January 6th.
On a video she's seen saying
"Let's go to war, I'm gonna catch Xandão (nickname for the Supreme Federal Tribunal Justice Alexandre de Moraes). We're breaking everything and taking a dump on this shit (referring to the Congress building)".
She was arrested on January 27th 2023.
Besides being a member of the STF (Brazilian equivalent of Scotus) Moraes heads the TSE (Superior Electoral Tribunal) and is therefore in charge to supervise the general elections, removing "fake news" from online content, wiretap phones from insurrectionists and convict them.
Granny Shark lawyers requested a release from jail 5 times (like release under bail before trial) arguing health issues, all of those were denied by Moraes.
Yesterday she was tried by the Supreme Federal Tribunal on a virtual meeting, Moraes voted to sentence her to 15 years imprisonment on 5 accounts.

@BrasilIguana correct me if I'm wrong, but is my understanding that someone convicted by the STF has no right to appeal due to it being the highest judicial instance in the country.
