Welcome to my new sure to be quickly abandoned series "Great moments in Drama history"

Today we're going to talk about the time a male drama regular wound up in a college humor article about women getting roasted on reddit.

So as most of you are aware, at least a third of all internet related "journ*lism" is just browsing social media looking for things you can turn into articles with out having to actually do any work. Back in the good old days of 2017 it was acceptable to do this on things that were insulting to women minorities and g*mers.

That lead to this shitty article

Number 9 on this list may surprise you, as it was male r drama regular Cerkies.

The most hilarious part of all of this was that despite general amusement of this, no one told Cerkies about it for awhile.

When he was told he was less than fully pleased by it.

This has been the first post in the new series "great moments in rdrama history, which will almost certainly be the last unless Snally or another actually good poster takes up the mantle.

College Humors an interesting case where the better the production values got, the unfunnier it became.

It happened to Cracked too.

I used to love Cracked. I got one of my articles published with them when I was 17. Now I guess they let high school juniors write everything of theirs.

All the good writers left to do their own thing and probably make a shitload more money.

Dude. Cracked used to be sooooo funny. Even when SJW horseshit kept popping up in the articles, I didn’t care because it was still funny. Now it sucks.

Cracked got shit after they fired Seanbaby.

Edit: apparently they re-hired him and then fired him again two years ago.

Seems predictable. What made it funny/charming originally was the "realistic" low production quality and non-corporate writing.

They were always progressive too, so it wasn’t even a particular realignment that led to its downfall. Whenever a sketch character did something shitty in the 00s or early 10s, there was a negative consequence to it and the “correct” behavior was pretty hamfisted but funny.

Now it’s like the writing got taken over reddit smug-posters. Same with a lot of internet humor sites like Cracked. The only folks who stuck to true to themselves were The Whitest Kids U Know, which looked like they were making a solid comeback until Trevor died last month from falling off a balcony.

This exact realization made me think about applying for “internet culture” writing positions at publications while in college. But then I realized writing about anything I browse without heavily condemning it would surely get me kicked out of college.

The all-time top r/drama moment has to be when Lawlz told Wil Wheaton what a pathetic loser he is right to his face.

Second probably when drama mods banned r/teenagers and discovered most of them were middle aged groomers

Or when that mythomaniac foid arrived and got rightly told to keep her oversized shits in the pottys she kept breaking and off the Internet

During the groomercord reveal, Cissytits gets into an neurodivergent fight with a furry on r/drama:

Also, OP has provided additional proof that groomercord causes grooming and brain damage.

I cant believe I missed that entire drama.

I saw the post, hesitated for a second, and then decided "nah, todays too good a day to bother with culture war bullshit and seriousposters sperging out in the comments". So I never bothered watching the ad or lurking the thread.

Even though I missed the drama, I still think I came out ahead to anyone sneeding in the comments tbh.

Okay. I'm gonna try to keep this short and light, please stick with me.

Gender is a social construct, like love or the economy. It's something humans made up to help us contextualize our experience of the world. Most of what we'd consider "masculine" or "feminine" behaviour is socialized, rather than genetic or inherent to a set of genitalia. You can argue that sexual hormones lead to a tendency towards certain types of behaviour, but no amount of testosterone is going to make someone care about sports if they don't, or good at fixing cars, or physically abusive. Men tend to gravitate towards "manly" things because they are socialized to - if a little boy wants a Barbie, a lot of parents wouldn't let him have it. He doesn't get opportunities to explore femininity, so is pushed towards being masculine.

And you might already be well aware of this, but s*x and gender are two different ideas, with the basic distinction being that your s*x is a purely physical trait, it's about what your body is, whereas gender is a social trait. And there's a whole spectrum of what this can entail. Someone whose s*x is female but who dabbles in masculine-gendered activity might be called a tomboy. If they feel uncomfortable with female s*x, or even just very comfortable presenting with an entirely masculine gender, then that could lead to them identifying as transgender - a gender other than the one they were assumed to have at birth that aligns with their s*x. They might think of themselves as a man, and might seek to change their physical s*x to match.

Now here's where the butter meets the biscuit - while "s*x" and "gender" are now (in certain use cases at least) defined terms, words like "woman" and "man" are much looser. Society has always defaulted to assuming that s*x and gender will line up, so what is considered a man socially and what is considered a man physically have always been conflated. The thing is, though, unless you're running a single-s*x sporting event
