Who and What

Etika was a youtuber and g*mer who yote himself off a bridge. He had a lot of fans, so this was a pretty tragic event for a lot of them. Etika was so loved that there was even sadposting on 2b2t (the so-called "worst minecraft server") about it.

This is the first time the community has atleast cared a bit. It shows that we arent truly monsters.

NFTs. Whooo boy, how do I explain NFTs. For now, let's just say it is environmentally destructive stamp collecting. Redditors and other woke-left individuals HATE NFTs, because it is :soycry: unrestrained hypercaptialism and is destroying the planet for profit while not producing anything of value.

What happened

ANTILA (Anti-Landphobia), an rdrama trolling group, tweeted that they were going to begin selling "etikapunks" - NFTs to commemorate Etika. (Unfortunately, the tweets have been deleted - if anyone has screenshots lmk) The first thread wasn't too big of a hit

Things didn't really kick off until it came across Mutahar's (of SomeOrdinaryG*mers) radar. As a result, "#etika" shot to the top of twitter, driving even more outrage

Meanwhile, on reddit, a thread on /r/EtikaRedditNetwork got over 1000 updoots and hundreds of comments of seethe

Etika bout to come down himself to b-word smack some peeps. No way in HECK would Etika let this happen. I know for a fact he would have several stream clips of himself dunking on these idiots who think NFTs are the future

Hilarity also ensued when people accused SRD of being behind etikapunks.

Journ*lists also got in on the action. Several YouTubers made videos on the topic. One guy went as far as to ironically namedrop us. Here's a list of all the people that name dropped us.

Several dramatards began baiting twitterers with pictures of Bardfinn saying that he was responsible for Etikapunks, leading to many twitter users doxxing and generally directing all of their hate at him. This was simply too funny for that rat bastard carp to handle, so he pinned a post explaining that bardfinn was not behind etikapunks, and removing any post that implied this was the case. :marseyjanny:

(this is anecdotal, but there was a since deleted post to a livestream of a very angry dude talking about how pissed he is at bardfinn for doing this to his beloved etika. This is one of the funniest fricking things I have seen on rdrama - it is not an exaggeration to say that I nearly pissed myself laughing. if anyone has a recording of this, PLEASE let me know)
