I hate to give Disney credit, but it sounded like they had the right idea originally planning on keeping it grounded. But Sony is r-slurred and desperate and are probably fighting hard to make a new Morbius or Madam Web. Those meetings around this shit are probably some quality coked up drama.

Disney's spiderman always felt really dumb, honestly. It's like they just put him in to be a vehicle for other characters to show up rather than a character that can stand on his own anymore.

One thing that's really annoying is that they made Spider-Man Iron Man's pupil. Spider-Man is not Iron Man Jr. and never will be. The character was way more popular and iconic than Iron Man and will continue to be way more popular and iconic forever. Disney even made Mysterio an Iron Man villain, for some reason.

I actually almost liked him best. I felt like he embodied a lot of the good things that Raimi and whatever Garfield spidermen individually fell short on. But yeah, peak of this was homecoming and thrusting him as the world saving avenger teamed up with everybody important on day 1 didn't really do Disney spiderman favors.
