I think hers is a pretty good one to show. She's like three months of effort away from setting herself on a good track. Hopefully she does an update video in a year.

I assume her email sounded incredibly helpless. I don't have the timestamp for it but during the married car salescreatures episode it got mentioned their email read something along those lines of "we don't know if we're going to survive the next few months without financial intervention" which makes me think that he's booking people based on how dire they paint their situation when they initially reach out.
