Does anyone have major spending problems?
I have major issues with addiction and impulsivity in general. Binge eating, binge drinking, self-harm, gambling, and (mostly) past drug addictions. The issue I'm dealing with most right now, or is catching up to me, is spending. I have about $150,000.00 in credit card debt. I'm trying a debt relief program before I have to declare bankruptcy. I also have about $300,000.00 in student loans on top of that.
My need to impress and be liked by other people bleeds into my spending. I leased a BMW. I have a bunch of Louboutins and designer bags. I make good money, but not good enough to spend like this. At this rate I will go bankrupt and never be able to buy a home. I'm 35 and an attorney in an expensive area of the US, for reference.
Any advice on impulsive shopping? Or impulsivity in general? Or can anyone relate? Thanks everyone

We're talking about lawyers here. One of the most Jewish professions in the country. Jews are a lot of things, but "bad with money" isn't one of them.
