In this thread, OP asks if he is the butthole for excluding a friend, who constantly underdresses and does not own/refuses to purchase a suit, from his weekly dinner gatherings. The issue is that OP and his friends are unable to enter their preferred restaurants when said friend is around, due to dress code entry requirements. OP is in Monaco so this is pretty much universal if you want to go anywhere half decent.
The thread may be a troll post but that's irrelevant because our subject today is the absolute seething in the comments. If you needed a reminder that Redditors are poor and stupid, here you go.

If you can't afford a few hundred dollars for dinner, you should unironically keep yourself safe. More importantly the shitty $200 suit can be used for other occasions, like a fricking job interview, which this broke b-word needs stat.
This guy's never heard of a dress code
Tl;dr

Funny part about this is that the men's suit is like, a great equalizer. A nice suit is better than a cheap suit but they both count as Properly Attired.

And at some point literally everyone except the most secluded of basement dwellers will need to wear one, so you might as well keep at least one around. The fact that redditors are so mad over the request is kind of funny in that sense

Something I don't get about their position of underdressing (le comfy hoodies, frick dress code), don't they ever feel good about getting well dressed and getting compliments for it? Like is not even a daily thing, just dressing up accordingly for the occasion (dinner parties, weddings, birthdays).
