Hello, welcome to 'I see the poors are pretending to be big wallet gangstas again'
This hole exists as a safe space for refugees from the Facebook(MetaTM groups of the same name. Of which there have been several iterations. We mostly exist to poke fun at the state of living in poverty. While it oftentimes is unavoidable, we do aspire to not be meanspirited. Over the years we have co-opted the term 'Peak Poor' to being someone who exudes poverty, regardless of their actual net worth. Trump and Elon both exhibit the peak poor ethos from time to time while still being the top 0.000001%. You can do something peak poor and still be a good person or a generally adjusted one. We all have a bit of poor in us.
We basically fill a niche similar to fatpeoplehate with a bit less actual malice.
PeakPoor is shotgunning mountain dews at 5 years old.
PeakPoor is not people dying of poverty. While technically the greatest heights of poverty is succumbing to it this is not funny, and is a failure
of capitalism. We do not make fun of poverty to be mean spirited such as that.
Read the room, if it's punching down too hard or really digging into someone whos a sympathetic character it doesn't belong here. (basically READ THE ROOM)

Redditors are so economically illiterate it's absurd.
I've got a pile of money and my options to make it grow are:
A) Buy property and relax with my low risk investment, but Redditeurs will call me lazy.
B) Contribute to society by investing into some sort of vague labour intensive commune project which means I'll have to quit my job, negating the whole point of the investment to generate passive income, while also putting the initial capital at high risk but at least Redditeurs will like me.
The ignorant and the feckless are meant to fail at life.

The whole point of investing is I get more than I put in. When I buy stocks or any other investment I'm trading capital up front for more capital later, that is multiplied by the labors of others

so have no concept of money management or are too tired working a wagie job 
and posting on Reddit to even consider other avenue of income diligently.
Most will buy a few shit coins (practically life savings) and cry about it when their 'investment,' fizzles out of existence
in front of them and don't have the means to write it off as losses.

Tbf real estate is a pretty shit investment if you're not a builder or developer. Just sit your money in SPY and you'll have significantly higher returns. Plus actual landchadding is an annoying amount of work if you don't outsource
