Average salary for a teacher working 9 months is $70k. The average goes above $100k in certain states.

50-60 hours a week for a job paying between $93-133k annualized on average is really not so bad. And that's before accounting for the amazing benefits teachers get (including access to PLSF student loan forgiveness).

My pay isn't great, but it's better than what most people around here get paid. I get great benefits, a staggering amount of vacation time (which I use to make even more money with even fewer hours per day), and automatic raises from the college courses my school district pays for.

Teachers that complain about their salaries are kitties or city folk, but I repeat myself.
