if organizing orgies is ur full time gig: how many orgies do you figure you can plan in a standard 40-hour week?

While I wouldnt be partaking very often, I could prob organize 3 or 4. Vetting candidates, getting catering, outfitting s*x dungeons, etc. all takes significant time. :marseytabletired:

tbh 3-4 sounds like quite a bit

that one aella ( :marseysick: ) did seems like it took way longer than a week to organize

i guess what I'm getting at is: we're gonna need to have a talk about the production values of ur orgies :marseysuit:

The best part about Marxism is watching all Marxist countries decry one another because they didn't Marxism the right way.

Self-governance shouldn't be this difficult.

Imagine if someone designed an engine but never tested it, yet people argued for a century that the only reason the engine never worked was that everyone else merely built it wrong.

Muh right to housing

Let's see how long the landlords wait to turn the prices up and make it unaffordable again (Spoiler alert: it won't take long). Rent controls are fated to fail but letting landlords and corpos have so much control over housing will end creating an even bigger problem.

That coming from you is mighty praise. :marseythanks: If you take issue with something as uncontroversial as saying "Rent controls are fated to fail but letting landlords and corpos have so much control over housing will end creating an even bigger problem." then I'm afraid you are an r-slur.

This is pure fantasy. :marseyshrug:

>so much control

They don't because they're in a competitive market. Let me know when the hundreds of them in a city without rent controls are colluding, k?

literally just build more

like unironically basically all these housing issues can be solved by building more housing, it's just that it would reduce the value of existing housing so the people who own existing housing don't want it

literally just build more

like unironically basically all these housing issues can be solved by building more housing, it's just that it would reduce the value of existing housing so the people who own existing housing don't want it

It's not the only aspect to it and it would absolutely not solve the underlying issue by itself. The NIMBY landlords and the corpos and banks with a stake in housing are obviously against it, and some actively lobby for r-slurred regulations and challenge courts to prevent building housing where it's most desperately needed. That is, when they aren't actively conspiring to raise rents as much as possible. NIMBY landlords and corpos don't want their houses to depreciate and their investments to yield low returns, and the banks don't mind their high interest rate mortgages.

This what happens when housing is treated as an investment and not as a basic human need. It's not just the fact that there might be a shortage in housing units, it's also the affordability. When you have landlords with upwards of 10+ houses which they only use to extract rent then you have a shitty system that incentivizes predatory practices. The very system resembles more something out of the middle ages with lords and their fiefdoms than something that belongs in modern society. But places like the US, for example, are simply not ready to seriously tackle the problem because there's just way too much private money invested in it and so there will be a perpetual housing crisis with astronomically high housing prices and rents.

So yes, building more housing would somewhat alleviate the problem in the short term but the inherent dynamics and perverse incentives of a shitty system would still be there. :marseydoomer:
