It's aight but too darn big. There's a LOT of nothing in between interesting parts of Maine that isn't even really interesting or explorable. You're just going to spend most of your day driving to cool stuff. It's nice and all nature but just kinda meh. Western Maine owns bc it's like a lil extension of here in NH
I loved it but I'm also from Florida, land of the shopping strips. lol Beaches are also way wayyyy different from any east coast beach I've been to. I loved it, but I feel like it had a lot of Steven King vibes.
Nice for a visit, decent food. But it's the leftoid enclave of the state and they're dealing with a massive, massive hobo camp problem. I was there last week and it was absolutely appalling to see. Not even NH's largest city has a hobo problem that bad
