A follow up post from last weekend when a couple people were asking about the equipment my family uses on the farm. Ready to go combine soybeans tomorrow so Redditors can get their Soylent (actually our beans go down the Mississippi and eventually to China to feed their hogs).

I was standing on top of a grain bin. It's around 80 feet high.
Harvest in one day depends on what crop we are on and if we have road travel time. Most of the down time is waiting for semi trucks.
With Soybeans if we are close to home and just dumping them in a grain bin we can probably knock out 200 acres in one day without much trouble. With corn 120 acres is usually a big day because we cannot dump trucks fast enough to keep up with the 250+ bushel per acre yields we get.
Everything you see there that is red is Case IH.
