This is the minimum for a respectable swingin' pad. If you're over 25 and don't own the below, you're NGMI and anyone sleeping with you is punching down or will eventually key your car if you have one.

2 sets with complementary colors:

Color 1: matched sheet set with 4 shams, cotton thread count > 800,

Color 2: duvet or over blanket with 2 matching shams

Color 3: optional accent in your duvet or throw pillow pattern, only do this if you have a big P or tight V and know what you're doing

Materials: 4 goose down sleeping pillows, 2 throw pillows of any quality, 1 queen size (or larger) spring mattress worth min $1k, high quality mattress cover so your mattress doesn't stain from your bed weeting and so it lasts at least 8-10 years.

Notes:

  • memory foam is a meme at this price point or below, don't be fooled.

  • a box springs is optional depending on bed style

  • throw pillows are for throwing off of your made bed, not for not buying

I don't understand what keeps happening with our mattresses. We spend good money on name brands but after only a couple months it seems like you really sink deep into them and they retain a groove. Not fat. Even the cats sink in and the center feels noticeably firmer

I don't think the box springs are worn out, can't imagine they'd make that much difference.

Pillowcases piss me off. I have a regular queen-sized pillow. I don't want a King, it's too big. But nobody makes queen pillowcases, just "full/queen" that don't quite cover the entire pillow. I have to buy Kings and take them in slightly.

Thanks to this argument, I've learned that shams and pillowcases are not synonyms.

It's not a psyop though, and you're lying unless you've never bought a duvet or over blanket that didn't come in a set. They always come with at least 2 matching shams.

The whole point of having throw pillows is that you wasted your money for them. It's conspicuous consumption, and both bitches and bottoms love that shit.

What sheet set comes with 4 pillow cases? You'll usually have two, for the regular pillows. Then your comforter/duvet or whatever will have two for the top pillows.
