If you stepped on broken glass and you needed to extract it, you need stitches.

You don't need to go to the ER, but the bottom of your foot is subject to a lot of force almost constantly, you need to stitch it. Any lass over 40 should be able to help you.

A deep cut needs stitches even if it stops bleeding.
