Decided to channel my inner Hugh Jeffreys yesterday and replace the screen on a phone what i broke ages ago. The repair itself was actually pretty fun, albeit not perfect, and it worked really well for all of 30 minutes before i tried flashing a new custom rom onto it. In my finite wisdom, i tried to reboot back into the recovery menu, only to find out that the new rom had overwritten the previous recovery menu and replaced it with nothing. It's boot looping now and i haven't found a way to make it stop :) I've unplugged the battery in the hopes that it might sort itself out after a day or two, but otherwise there's a way to flash the stock firmware back on that didn't work.
Sucks too. Despite the fact that it's like the quintessential pov indian c*nt phone, it has reasonably good specs considering how much it cost and there doesn't look to be much on the market that fits my incredibly narrow definition of a good phone is (doesn't look offensively ugly). anyways if you'll excuse me i'm going to start a phone repair kiosk in a shopping centre now

Did that before, bricked a phone trying to downgrade to Oreo because reeee Android changed the volume key behavior. I think it was something like the recovery partition was encrypted but i didn't discover that until after i wiped the main partition
Took 9 months before an RUU was available to unbrick it, which i performed on a new years eve while my wife hosted a little party in the kitchen
