My college town had a bar that had $1 beer night every Tuesday with all the usual shit like Hamm's and Falstaff and that stuff. But if you knew about it, they also had an unadvertised option of tallboys of this lesser known malt liquor called Side Pocket behind the bar, also for $1. Gave me one of the worst hangovers I've ever had.
Same. I grew up in a mayo area but I would still see the local degen white trash buying 40s of Hurricane Hi-Gravity and Old English at the gas stations but most stores seem like they quit carrying them after like 2010.

They disappeared for over a decade. The one time i went to the Great Satan i brought back a bunch.
I'm glad they're back even if they're not in bottles

That's the only way I'd ever seen them before too. 40s of Colt 45 and Old English bring back very nostalgic memories.

I've been told that they were removed from market here because future doctors & lawyers kept smashing the bottles everywhere

One time in my 20s went bowling with the boys from work and drank Guinness all night for some reason.
Not even hair of the dog and a spliff fixed that hangover, it was awful

I once tried Skol when I was younger and killed like half the bottle with some mixers.
Literally had never experienced a hangover before and to this day have never had a worse one than that
