the real answer is to find some sort of hobby, something you enjoy. you'll find like-minded people there that you'll mesh with.

i met by current boyfriend totally by coincidence at college. i made a post about it and @birdenthusiast was so jelly she said it was "straight out of a porno". but basically i saw this guy from my Japanese class that i vaguely knew talking with his friends, and I was sitting next to them so I started talking to them too. Then--and this is the important part--I took the leap and moved to sit at their table, despite not really knowing any of them. there was another guy that I didn't know and it just so happened he shared a class w me too, so I sat next to him bc we were both doing hw from that class. that guy is now my bf.

we were working on hw together like the next day or so, and he and guy from Japanese class were going to someones house to drink and i tagged along. After getting sufficiently drunk we started cuddling, i told him that I was trans and he said "I know" (he saw the marseytransplushie CSS from the transgender hole when i was using my computer and he figured) and then i told him that i thought he was cute and he said that he thought i was cute too. then he took me back to his dorm and the rest is history :) !cuteandvalid
