i just realized that the solder i've been using for the past 3 days has lead in it
i've been soldering in my room without the window open because i assumed it was lead free solder. my eyes started feeling dry and i realized that it had lead in it
Get a long cardboard box (I've simply used ones for cat food), cut a 12 cm hole on it (CDs are almost perfect for it), screw on a 12 cm PC fan, power it (old PSU works or cut up a charger that's 7-12v, fans don't give a shit), aim one end at the slightly open window, other near your soldering station. Congrats, you've just made a smoke extractor out shit laying around.
It's quite literally the setup I use currently, both for soldering and for smoking inside with an open window if there's rain/snow/fricking 60 km/h winds outside, because both of these activities are fricking nasty without pulling out the smoke.
